My ISP (Internet Service Provider) that I am using is having problems, and I am looking for a new one. If any of you are using a DSL line, or an ISP service, and you are getting great service, and great speed out of it, please send me their name and phone number. One disclaimer here, I am NOT interested in AOL. My service contract runs out the first of May, so I need someone new soon. Thanks!

Good ISP or DSL Service
In response to your request, here is my recommendations:
ISPs
1. AT&T WorldNet
2. Earthlink Sprint
3. MindSpring
DSL
As you know DSL is a technology that pumps a lot of data very quickly through regular telephone lines. Unfortunately, there are many variations--ADSL, HDSL, SDSL, VDSL, IDSL--each with different connection speeds and subscription costs. For instance, DSL Lite, aka G.Lite, lets you connect at a max speed of 1.5 Mbps, up to 26 times faster than a 56Kbps modem. You will need to check your local ISPs and phone service for availability. Good luck!!

I ended up using Earthlink. I did not, however, use thier software, as all I wanted was the isp connection. Thier technical staff was very helpfull in getting me set up within 10 minutes of my call, AND I was given 15 days FREE service to try them out.
I had some "disconnect" problems the first several day, called tech service, and they gave me 2 additional local numbers to try - one of them took care of the problem. When you call, they give you a case number, and will help you until the problem is resolved.
So.. for those of you that need service, this is not a bad one.
