Interested in starting a Crime Team? Keep reading . . .

For extra patrol you can call dispatch at 644-2211, explain the situation to them and ask to have extra patrol in the area. They will then fill out a form and the info will be sent through the computers in the patrol cars as well as to the district substation. LOTS of us need to begin calling in. I saw the FIRST patrol car in our area in many a month last Friday night at about 11:00 pm.

ALSO:
Mesa has a ''Citizens on Patrol'' program,
whereby city officials will come out and explain it all. My fear is that IF these thieves feel we are easy targets for stolen vehicles - what will they do next? Most assuredly - they will NOT stop there. I would rather fight now than to have to ''take back'' our neighborhood once it has fallen prey to vandals of all kinds.

Make sure to read Alma's discussion article on our mailboxes (you'll find it rather interesting).

Also read the ''Crime Stats'' for the month of May. You will find all the crimes reported in the month of May and the ''Crime Stats'' are in from the City of Mesa.

If you are interested in the Crime Team Committee, please email me at the above email address (or email Alma).

ATTENTION Neighbors

I want to echo my comments on the Crime Team!

First and foremost, I'm all for protecting and getting back our neighborhood. Second, I think Debbi Ballard and Cecil Duarte were ''right-on'' with their comments relative to ''Protecting our Neighborhood'' and ''Let's get our Neighborhood Back!'' Even as I write this e-mail, my neighbor across the street home was robbed. Being so close to home, it's shocking for something like this to happen. Fortunately, some good news, the thief was caught but he maybe part of a larger ring that's working our neighborhood. We must get the word out to all of our neighbors to be on guard. Moreover, I like Naomi Mills ideal that we need to begin some kind of neighborhood planning session. I think we should have a neighborhood meeting - w/time yet to be determined...held in the ''park'' near Alma School road. At that meeting we can discuss the formation of a ''Crime Committee'' to come up with ideals to stop this crime wave before it gets out of hand. Clearly, if we don't come together on this, I'm afraid we may loose our neighborhood and the thieves would have won. I, for one, don't want that to happen. As Cecil put it...Let's get our neighborhood back and send out a strong message to those vandals and car thieves - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I would add...Marlborough Mesa is off limits now and forever.
Do We Have a Leader?

Clearly, we DO need a LEADER and someone to talk with officials to begin getting this set up.

Is anyone out there interested? Maybe you have been reading all about the things that are being done by residents within and have just not taken the initiative to ''get involved'' yet.

Perhaps we have already HAVE a law enforcement officer or detective who could volunteer their time. What better place to volunteer than IN your own neighborhood and to help guide others to PROTECT it as well?

If you are reading this -- please consider it. Mesa Police have always been helpful in coming and working with citizens.

Attention Neighbors-Crime Team!

Marlborough Neighbors,
For those of you who are interested in details of the ''Burgarly'' across the street on Extension, it occured at 3151 So. Extension (Dave Brown Subdivision). The House sits on the Corner across from our house at 3152 So. Extension. It has the ''Fire Hydrant'' in the Front Yard!!!
That late afternoon, the wife decided since she was not driving she would leave her Purse at home on the Bar. The Thieves Popped out Their Bedroom Window, and stole her Wallet & Driver's License, Vacation Cash Money, Some 0f her Collection Coins she had for her Children, which she was collecting for 8 years, and some of her Jewelry.
When they arrived back home that evening, she noticed her oldest Daughter's Bedroom opened. Their Kids are Adults, and her oldest Daughter's Bedroom Door is never opened, which is the Area she visited first upon arriving home. Then, she noticed her Purse was missing, the Bedroom Window Next. Some of her Missing items were Recovered!!!!
The Thieves decided to Rent a Hotel Room at the Holiday Inn near us which they were conducting Room Robberies also. Hopeful this information is helpful for the Residents who were curious as to the Details, and Crime Prevention Strategies for the Neighborhood!!!
No, they did not have a ''Security Alarm System'' Protecting their Home!!!! Just the ''Securtity
Locks'' the home was built with or which her hubby installed!!!
Thanks for Reading!!!::))
