Cable America has started construction on our side of Guadalupe and Extension. Brian Williams, their construction manager, has said that some folks are not real excited about the construction. It is not fun to have your yard dug up, but the small pain is well worth what we are getting in return. Cable America cleans up well after themselves and are required, by law, to stay in easements. They have a real vested interest in doing a clean job. Who would want their service if their property was destroyed by Cable America. They are doing each street as they come south on Extension. The cable lines will be on the south side of the east/west streets. Apparently, the north side already has a bunch of other utilities. They will be done on the west side of Extension in 90 days. At that time we will have the most current cable product offered by Cable America. This will include High Speed Internet. Cox has once again told me that they have us slated last in Mesa. We will not get the same service from Cox for at least 18 months. Those subscribers north of Extension seem to be very happy with Cable America.
There is no obligation to change or subscribe to Cable America. Many of us who are Cox customers are very upset with the bad service and want what the rest of their customers have now.
When we atarted this project almost 18 months ago, we did not recieve one negative response to Cable America coming doen here.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but we will be able to have new millenium tehcnology in this millenium.
