Roaming Cats/Barking Dogs

Barking Dogs

We heard from our neighbors that one of our dogs would start barking after we left the house and would not stop until we came home. We went to WalMart & picked up a collar that beeps, then delivers a mild electric shock if the dog does not stop barking, with sock strenght increasing for continued barking. This seems to work very well, and the $40 we spent was well worth it for the continued good relationship with our neighbors.

Cats

I agree. We have two cats, both of which are kept inside (and promptly captured if one escapes past us). Keeping them in really poses no undue hardship on us, in fact, it is our responsibility as pet owners and neighbors. It's too bad some others don't see things this way.

Two nights ago I had three cats clustered in the flower bed outside my window, which seems to be the favored litter box for them. They ran off when I opened the door, but they keep coming back.

To be fair, I do see a couple of them out roaming daily and they may be strays, but they look a little too well fed to be. Take care of your pets and preserve your relationships with them & your neighbors.

Lemon Juice in flower bed

Hi Paul,

Lemon Juice in your flower bed will stop the cats. I found this out from a good lady who has helped me rescue the kittens from our side yard. We are still working on the siamese cat (momma).

Hope this helps.
