Do you pay a landscaping crew to care for your yard? If so, please do not allow them to litter our streets by blowing or sweeping yard waste and leaves onto our streets. Show them your green barrel and have them clean up after themselves instead of allowing your waste to blow into neighboring yards, streets, and driveways.
Additionally, do you have a large tree whose leaves have fallen with the cooler weather? Please be responsible homeowners/tenants and rake these up and put them in your green barrel. I have noticed a lot of dead and dried-up foliage in yards which eventually blow onto our sidewalks and street gutters. Our storm drains then become backed up and a call has to be placed to the City?’s Public Works Department to clean out the drains.
