Suspicious truck in neighborhood

Posted in: Marlborough Mesa
From 10:00 to about 10:15 a maroon Chevy truck with a silver toolbox, AZ plate: 214 EGH, slowly cruised up and down every street in the neighborhood. OLLA, OBISPO, PLATA, PECOS, PORTOBELLO, etc.

With all of the security scams, I thought it was important enough to note the plate number and post it here.

Someone looking for an address would go up a street or two, but not every street back and forth VERY slowly.

I thought it might have been one of our own doing a security patrol...but I got in my truck and followed the truck as it curved around Mollera, went up to Pecos, and crossed Alma School to the neighborhood West of ours...

Very suspicious.

Reckless drivers

Thanks for passing along the information on the reckless and suspicious drivers. It is helpful to have the drivers license numbers.

I contacted the city of Mesa in Nov.2002 regarding speed bumps on Emerson. The fire dept. will not change the designation of the street to allow for speed bumps.

Looks like we'll have to be extra careful.

Fire designation

I find this ridiculous. Looking at other neighborhoods, I've seen streets layed out just like ours and they have speed bumps.

I hope it doesn't take a tragedy to get them in. Like a speeding driver hitting one of the neighborhood children or someone walking a pet.

Can we get the police to track the cars going down the street? Don't they lay those black wires down to estimate speed anymore? Or put one of those signs that indicates the speed of the cars...

Something should be done. Our street is treated like a straightaway on a race track.
