Marlborough Mesa

I have been here almost a month now, and I have to say that I am highly impressed with what I have seen so far. I have lived in many neighborhoods int he USA, but none match this one.

I went to the outdoor gig last night in front of Alma's house. I took my bike, and as warned, the kids loved it. They took turns climbing on it, some wouldnt leave! It was fun.

Another rider and myself discussed the criminal activity problem and came up with an idea... catch one of them... tie them to the rear of one of our Harleys with 5 feet of rope... give them a tour of all the streets they CANNOT steal from, at about 30 miles an hour.... then call the cops. This might send out a message?

I like the block parties (?). Lets do it again soon.

Glad to hear you like the neighborhood so well. We've been here 5 years now and could not be happier. I like your idea about the thiefs if only we could catch them. Still, we have to keep trying.

What do you like best about this neighborhood? For us, its the good neighbors, convenient location to what we like to do and all around nice place.

Well, I enjoy the quiet, for one thing. It is a well kept area too. Our house is great, and I am the only one in it for a few more months (woohoo).

Unfortunately, several of the people you met on GAIN Night are not IN the 21st Century!! :)... kidding, but, they do NOT have email OR never use it and many rarely get on the internet for anything. Just don't know what they are missing, do they?

The Harley rider that you talked with mostly is Mark Cefalu, who made our Entrance Signs. His wife, Renee is spearheading our curb-numbering project on Saturdays. I knew Mark did not have email and I LOVED your comment about the neighborhood ''tour'', and knew he would also. I took him a copy. He and the next door neighbor, Ron (also a Harley rider) got quite a laugh!!!

You should drive down and visit -- they like your style!
