We expected a package to be delivered last Friday (10/19). Since both my husband and I work, we checked our front door when we came home and it was not there. We assumed then that the package would be delivered on Saturday or Monday. The next morning, the package was at my front door, but it was opened and appeared to have been gone through because some items were standing up out of the box. Fortunately, for us all items were in the box.
We believe that our package had been stolen and when the thiefs saw that it was only cleaning products, they returned it. We are following up on this with the company we ordered from and who delivered it just to be sure that the package being opened was not an accident or some other reason.
Until we can determine that our packages will arrive safely, especially with Christmas coming up, we have decided to have ALL our packages delivered to my husband's work. At least there, they will be secure and untampered with.
This is the first incident we have ever had with package delivery in the 5 1/2 years we've lived in this neighborhood. However, with so many package deliveries coming for Christmas, we do not intend to take a chance that packages will be stolen. Perhaps, you may wish to do the same.
