Marlborough Mesa

Just to let everyone know that our truck was broken in to again on the morning of 12/11/01. They got into a locked tool box and into the cab of the truck. Whoever did it pretty much cleaned my husband out of most of his tools. We live at 1064 W Portobllo if any one saw anything early morning of 12/11 please let us or the police know. This is the 2nd time in 18 months that this has happened. Our truck was in our driveway. Thanks...

Did you file a police report? We just had a Blockwatch Leader Meeting last night at the Dobson Branch and I am ALWAYS asking them to come in here more and I ALWAYS hear the same answers: ''There just isn't any crime going on in there!!!'' We all KNOW this is not true -- it is just not HIGH crime.

Last night there were 4 officers at the meeting and I EVEN promised Christmas Cookies to ANY of them who would just drive around through our neighborhood --then STOP by our home and get them! Who knows, they may just want a snack around midnight!

Also, I will alert our new SAFETY TEAM this time. Whoever may be reading this -- you can reach the Safety Team at the new website at http://www.mmesa.net. There is a section that Rick has set up strictly for this purpose.

Yes we did contact the police and made a report with them. An officer did come out and took finger prints off the truck. When Aaron first made the report at 6:00am that day he was told that there had been a lot of break-ins on this date so it might be awhile before someone would be out. The police office came to our house at 8:00pm..I guess that they were busy. Also she did tell Aaron that we did live in one of the safest neighborhoods in the city. Not sure if that was to make him feel better.
