I as a Resident of this neighobrhood, Marlborough Mesa, I want to Publically say THANK YOU to Michelle for her efforts to get our 2nd Annual Santa at the Park another successful event. I knw a lot of elves had their hands in this event also- THANK YOU TOO! I did bring those Krispy Kreme's - hot and warm but a little late(sorry) - but I was amazed and overcome by all the donations by my Fellow Neighbors. Michelle, You did a super job in bringing this all together, along with all the contributions that our neighbors participated in. This is the type of an event that takes a lot of planning and TIME. Jim and I really APPRECIATE you and all your efforts. It really was a lovely site -- especially when you could see the look of all the little children who sat on Santa's lap to have their picture taken. What a wonderful gift to them! (Our resident photographer, Kelly Wendel did a great job also in TAKING all those pictures.) Each time we have such an event, it makes our neighborhood feel just a little more like a ''small town community'' and brings us closer together. Again -- OUR THANKS |

Although I've lived in MM for more than 16 years (Where did the time go?) I never attended a Christmas party until yesterday. I thought those were just for families, not for single women. Was I ever wrong! Yes, it was for children and who can be a Scrooge when you see their little faces light up when they saw that great looking Santa. Desserts are one of my many weaknesses and I have next to no willpower so although I didn't stay long,I met and talked with several neighbors who are committed to keeping MM a good place to live. What a melting pot of friends we are! Thanks to everyone who made this event such a success!!!!! By C. Behrend |
