Our GAIN Kick Off is also around the corner. This year it will be Thursday, September 23, 2004, from 6 PM to 8 PM at the City of Mesa Public Training Facility. Maps will be sent out with the tickets. (Call 644-3921 or email melinda.marino@cityofmesa.org for these tickets.) Our theme this year is ''Get to Know Your Police Department.'' You will become familiar with the many programs the Police Department has.
We encourage our block leaders to invite a guest to the kickoff who lives in Mesa, but not yet involved in an active block watch.

GAIN night will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2004, from 4 PM to 9 PM. It is between these times that City personnel will be visiting the parties, so pleae make sure yours is up and running for at least 2 hours during this time frame.
In order to encourage more participation from your neighborhood, include many neighbors in the planning. Theme parties have proven to be popular. There are great party ideas, as well as theme party packets available on the Web at www.cityofmesa.org/police/gain.asp.
