Without any notice, about two weeks ago, the streetlight in front of our house and many others in the neighborhood were removed.
Does anyone know when we'll get our lights back? It is pitch black in all of the spots that previously had lights - inviting crime or an accident. By Brian on Emerson |

In the dark...
Well, contacted the city and found out the contractor doing the job (removal and replacement of all the lights in our neighborhood due to rust) was supposed to pass out papers detailing the plans to all affected. No one I've asked ever saw any such papers. Another requirement of the job was to not remove two adjacent lights. Today they removed multiple lights - many next to one another. Emerson is now very dark except for one lone streetlight, and Osage has NO streetlights at all. The darkness invites crime (no one can see the thief breaking into your house) and accidents (visibility only by headlights for vehicles). I guess this is the kind of service you get in construction deals - lowest bidder gets the jobs. :o( By Brian on Emerson |
