Debbie received the following email and knew it was a scam. She called COX and told them about it and they told hernot to respond to it. In the email it states that Cox is asking her for information to keep her account with them open. Kathleen from COX said they would never ask for this information. I just wanted to send a warning to the neighborhood letting them know NOTto respond to the email.  The following is what was received:

This message is from Cox Web mail messaging center to all account owner. Currently, we are upgrading our data base and massage center. We are deleting al unused email account to create more space for new account.

 

We now implement a very large IP address block against ripe net address due to massive spamming. If you had access and are located in the Canada and United States, to upgrade your email account to prevent your account from closing you will have to update it below so that we will know that it's a present account. Provide details to this email info.accountmanagement04@googlemail.com
