This message was from the concerned neighbor on PORTOBELLO who actually saved the little dog:

Two loose German shepherd dogs were roaming the neighborhood and attacked a ladies dog while on a walk. I heard screaming and ran out to see what was happening. The two Germans had her dog on the ground both biting and tearing at this poor thing.

 

After getting the dogs to stop I told her to get them out of site and have the neighbor call for a ride. It looked like her husband came and picked her up. She originally thought the dogs were mine but that wasn't the case - I just ran out to help.

I do not know if Animal Control or the Police were called.  These dogs could be really dangerous for any small children also.
