Neighborhood Watch to LOSE signs if ...

This is a message from Jerry Quarles at the City of Mesa:

Neighborhood watch groups,

Many of the Dobson District Neighborhood Watch groups are currently inactive. Some of the watch groups have not had activity since 2006. Out of 84 Neighborhood Watch groups, only 18 are currently ACTIVE. The City Of Mesa Neighborhood Watch program requires 2 events or activities each year to remain active and keep the Neighborhood watch signs.

If you started a watch group and did not receive signs because the city did not offer them, GOOD NEWS; the signs are back. That’s right, signs are back and you need to be an active watch group to get the signs.

If you are not sure as to your status, please contact me by phone: 480-644-2539 or by e-mail: jerry.quarles@mesaaz.gov to find out your status.

I would be happy to help you get your watch group going again and schedule an event during October, November or December.

This will be your only chance as I will be closing the files on any NON-ACTIVE watch group on December 31st. After that time, you will have to start from scratch to start a Neighborhood Watch.
