Want to support the kids in your neighborhood? Parents magazine has joined forces with us to offer you a chance to win a $23,000 upgrade for your local park or playground, courtesy of Foresters, a life insurance company that champions the well-being of families.

Three playgrounds will receive an Imagination Playground in a Box, a set of giant foam blocks and other objects designed to encourage child-directed, unstructured free play.

Rally your community to earn points for your playground—the more points, the better your playground's chance to win. To get started, just find your favorite playground on our Playspace Finder and click on the button that says "Become a Fan." Can't find your playground? Add it to our list!

Once you’re a fan, you can take the following actions to earn points:

• Rate your playground (10 points)
• Upload a photo of your playground (10 points)
• Improve the information section for your playground (10 points)
• Add a comment about your playground (10 points)
• Reply to a comment about your playground (5 points)

Don't wait to get started. You and your community have until August 20, 2010 to earn points for your playground. A panel of judges will then select 10 finalists, and three winners will be determined by a public vote. To learn more about Imagination Playground, visit ImaginationPlayground.org.
