Remember the nasty wind, rain, and hail back in October? Did you check for damages to your house or property? Don't see any, so you didn't?
Let me give you our experience: After being told by our neighbor Amy that they had damages to the roof that could not be seen from the street, we called our insurance company to ask what we should do. They took it from there, sent out a guy from claims that was working the storm damages and he not only found our roof had damages, but also our fence was destoryed from the wind, and our shed.
Almost all the work is done now, except the shed which I will rebuild. The roof turned out perfect, the fence is new and no longer threatening to fall over. I hope to get the shed built before the gates of hell open in the summer :)
So, I guess my point here is for you to get your roofs checked sooner than later. You may not think there is damage, but if you wait too long they may not cover it. Plus, the longer you wait after the storm, the tougher the claim adjusters are (so I am told).
To see the excellent job done on our roof, swing by and take a look at 1160 W. Obispo Ave... farthest Northwest corner of the neighborhood.
Any questions, just ask!
