I hear everything you have said and couldn't agree more!!! And, neighbors really have no way of knowing the latest news unless they go to the website or I have their email addresses. After the first attempted kidnapping ... we drove the neighborhood and stopped and told everyone that was outside - including kids - and there were many. To our astonishment - many of them already knew about it because a friend had texted them - but many did not. Sadly, I do think that something has to "hit directly home" before action is taken.
