Caught a news story that 4 cars were torched last night off Alma School & Elliot, 4 others were also set afire but not engulfed a little further south. There have also been recent reports of cars set afire in mesa, off 10th Street & Westwood.
Talking to the manager at 7-eleven on Alma School & Elliot this morning, it seems the arsonist purchased the gasoline used last night in that store, and the police have been provided with the surveillance video footage. No arrests have been made as of yet.
It is my understanding that all cars burned were parked on the street, not in driveways or garages. I suggest you keep your vehicles in your driveways or garages for the time being. No room? Ask a neighbor if you can use their driveway for a couple of nights. Help eachother out.
