We received a letter today from a land-use law firm representing Empire Southwest, the Caterpillar machinery dealer on Country Club and the U.S. 60.
The letter invites MM residents to a meeting at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23 at the Empire Southwest Conference room, 1725 S. Country Club,Mesa.
Empire Southwest intends to expand their facilities. I think it’s great they want to expand. I just want to know what they intend to build. The odd thing is, I used to report on municipal planning and zoning issues, and generally, a project owner only needs to notify neighbors within 2,500 ft. +/- of the proposed project. Our neighborhood is a couple of miles away from this proposed project.
