For those interested in the status of the Scott Graham case, Jan McClellan has emailed the following update:

"Folks,

I have just been advised by Natalie Lewis, Assistant to the City Manager of Mesa, that she just learned that the Scott Graham trial has been postponed until July 15-17. This confirms info from Jeanette Owen, who attended the May 15 Trial Management court date (the week before the scheduled Trial that was to be held 23).

We know everyone is angry and frustrated because at the most recent court date for the (4th?) continuance of the Pre-Trial Conference, the judge denied Graham's attorney J. Philips yet another continuance and told him the trial would be going ahead on May 23.
The explanation from Lewis is that one of "our" primary witnesses [against Graham] is obligated to serve National Guard duty at this time, necessitating another delay until that witness is free to testify. Lewis feels this delay is good for "us".
I was not present on May 15 due to having to prioritize critical responsibilities, but I made arrangements to attend court proceedings tomorrow. I cannot answer details other than was told to me by Lewis.
Should you know any other individuals concerned with this case (Nate, Jutta, e.g.,) who do not have email, please let them know. I am unable to do a phone tree.
Again, we encourage you to check with the court's website for dates  http://www.mesaaz.gov/court/
For the non-human animals and those who love them,
