Superfoods for a Super Life!: May 4th, 6-7pm
Superfoods are nutrient powerhouses that pack large doses of antioxidants, polyphenols, vitamins, and
minerals. Eating them may reduce the risk of chronic disease, and prolong life, and people who eat more of them are healthier and thinner than those who don't.
We’ll discover several foods that are considered super, what health benefits they offer, and how to fit them into your diet. In order to reap the benefits you don’t have to change your diet around so that you’re only eating these foods, but the more of them you can incorporate into your diet, the better. Presentation by chef Larry Canepa includes recipes and superfood tastings!
Reading Lounge: Fridays from 4-5 at the Dobson Banch library. (all ages)
Each week during Summer Reading, come rack up those points during our Reading Lounge! Special treats and surprises will great you each week!
