NEW 9.19.2010 Mars Hill Landscape Update

SEPTEMBER 18, 2010 UPDATE:

Today we took time to meet with our neighbors to distribute the new update flyer.   Special thanks go to Denise & Madison Stevens for offering to help.  We have been truly been overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness, generosity and support.  To date, we have collected approximately $500.00 which means we can move forward with the project!!  All funds collected are being deposited with the US Bank into an account specifically dedicated to the Mars Hill Neighborhood Association.

Eric can now begin pricing and selecting plants.  He will also be creating a landscape blueprint design which will be posted on the website.  Once this is completed, we will be appealing for man/woman power to help with the removal of the old landscaping and planting of the new.  We have not officially selected a date, but if you can help, please let Eric know.  It’s a great opportunity to come out and meet some of our neighbors!!

Also, the question has been raised as whether the HEBRON CHURCH OF CHRIST has been notified.  The answer is YES.  They have given permission and express their support.

Please keep our neighbor & initiator of this website, Keval Fox, in your thoughts and prayers.  He is a great advocate of this initiative and was recently injured in a motorcycle accident.  He was on board with us until this mishap and now has 2 months of recuperation ahead of him.  We are thankful for his enthusiasm.
