Good Evening Neighbors,


The Board of Directors and neighbors met this evening to vote for the amendment change to the Declaration of Covenants, Restrictions and Easements for Mayfair Neighborhood. An affirmative vote of 69 homeowners was needed to pass the amendment. The vote passed 72 to 2 in favor of changing the required vote to make amendment changes from 75% of all homeowners to 51%. Future amendments will require affirmative votes from 47 homeowners. (Only 1 vote per property is allowed regardless of the number of owners on the title.)


The Board thanks Len Berkstresser and Peter Litchfield who contributed much of their spare time securing proxies so that the wishes of our neighbors could be counted. Your cooperation is very much appreciated. Thanks also to Board members Lyn, Karen, Phyllis, and Ann for their hard work.


The Board discussed the fertilization schedule and other services that will be provided by the new landscape company. Everyday Gardeners Club will start working on our yards on March 1st. If you are experiencing any problems, please remember to use the Work Order Form. I'm attaching the Work Order Form and the fertilization schedule. Bear in mind that it will take time for our plants and lawns to recover from the freeze before we can determine which plants will need to be replaced.


Treasurer Karen Fleming reported that we have $8,984 in our Reserve Fund as of the end of January. The balance is slowly increasing, but it is still extremely low and we must continue to be very cautious about our expenditures. Our financial statements are available to you in case you're interested in how the money you pay in is used.
