Focus:Hope pride themselves in the many programs that they have to offer the community. Their objectiv is to move our communities towards financial independence by getting the training needed to embark upon a successful career through Focus:Hope programs. For many years the have achieved this objective by offering programs such as MTI and ITC. In addition, they offer job placement for every student that completes the training programs boasting of a current 100% job placement.
Focus:Hope has academic partnerships with leading universities and colleges such as University of Detroit-Mercy, University of Michigan, Lawrence Tech, Wayne State University and LeHigh University.
Established in 1981, the Admissions Recruiting Department identifies individuals from all ages, cultures, and socioeconomic background for its Technology Training Program.
The Center for Advanced Technologies intergrates hands-on manufacturing training and academic learning with a production setting and educates Advanced Manufacturing Engineer-Technologists at World-Cometitive levels. The 21st century curriculum offers an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Technology. Bachelor Degrees are from the University of Detroit Mercy and Wayne State University. The Associate Degree is from Lawrence Technological University. All academic work is completed at Focus:Hope.
The Machinist Training Institute (MTI) provides State Licensed and Accredited Training in Precision Machining and Metalworking. The program answers an acute industry skill shortage, placing graduates at manufacturing companies throughout Metropolitan Detrtoit.
First Step is a four week program that upgrades math, communication and computer skills of trainees so they may enroll in FASTTRACK; the Machinist Training Institute; or Information Technologies Center.
FASTTRACK is a program designed to upgrade academic skills and disciplines of High School graduates and GED holders. In seven weeks, individuals reach an education level needed to enter the Machinist Training Institute or Information Technologies Center.
Testing is given at 1200 Oakman Blvd. on Tuesday and Thursday at 8:30 am and will last until 3:00 pm. You will receive a tour of the facility, complimentary breakfast, test results and funding orientation, all that day. You will be asked to bring with you for testing the following items: Drivers License or State ID, Social Security Card, High School Diploma or GED Certificate. Focus:Hope coordinates a large number of public and private benefits which assist in the payment of the trainees' tuition.
