A MESSAGE FROM THE HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

The HOA would like to issue a friendly reminder about neighborhood housekeeping to all the residents with-in the boundaries of McDowell Meadows. We all affect each other in some way; your attitude towards your property affects every resident in MM. Everyone wants a good neighbor that possesses community pride. (Selfish indignation is not a good neighborly quality; it destroys the fabric of the neighborhood and community.)
Over the past five years, the HOA has used the City of Charlottes Housing Codes (along with reminders about our Restrictive Covenants) as a means to encourage residents to be mindful of clutter on their property. We have mailed certain residents numerous times asking them to limit the number of work vehicles, and to be mindful of the condition of their property; this approach does not appear to be working. We have a growing number of home businesses and some properties are looking like a commercial lot instead of a residence. Using your property as a place of storage for your work vehicles, recreational vehicles and other violations, (listed in our Restrictive Covenants [CCR?’s]) deplete the visual appearance and value of the neighborhood. These reasons prompted your HOA to seek legal advice.
In our efforts to maintain a clean and safe neighborhood, the HOA has acquired the support of Attorney Mackey. He has reviewed our Restrictive Deeds of Covenants and has assured the HOA that the document is legal and enforceable for all residents. Attorney Mackey has also advised us in the proper procedure to proceed in taking legal action. We will be performing neighborhood inspections and reviewing all past violation letters sent to residents. We will consider all repeat offenders first.

The association will not provide any printed copies of the CCRs.
