We are off and running! MNA held its first meeting November 11 at 7pm. The meeting opened with prayer, officers were appointed as well as their jobs defined, and we discussed various ideas and issues. We set the date and time for the Christmas party and decided to have a Chinese gift exchange and 1 (non expired) canned good for admittance. To participate in the Chinese gift exchange individuals just need to bring 1 gift per individual ($5-$10 in value). The canned goods for admittance will be allocated to a local food drive or food bank. Bring a neighbor to the party! Lets all meet each other!!!
There will be a short business meeting after the meal.
MNA decided to begin the Christmas light competition next year (2009), since we are still trying to get on our feet.
Block Captains were elected from Meadowbrook and Darden Streets?—there was no one in attendance from Brewster. These captains will assist with passing out newsletters and other communications as the need arises.
If you are interested in attending meets but cannot drive after dark please call Rachel at 662-9478. We will find transportation for you!
A vehicle registry is in the works. Those in attendance at the meeting listed make, model, and color of the vehicles that are commonly at their homes. We are asking for everyone to do the same whether you plan to attend meetings or not. You can email or snail-mail this information to Rachel Stolle at Jeanet1te@yahoo.com or 114 Meadowbrook.
