CRIME REPORTS FOR APRIL & MAY 2002

There were at least six (6) calls made to the police for crime in our neighborhood area during April. There was one (1) assault, one (1) burglary, one (1) vehicle burglary, two (2) vehicle larcenies, and one (1) vandalism. *One of the reports was from the SW 74th Street area.
There were at least six calls made to the police for crime in our area during May. There was 1 assault, 3 burglaries, 1 stolen property, and 1 cruelty to animals. *Two of the reports were from the SW 74th St. area.
The June crime report will be reported in the September newsletter as not all crime reports have been received for this month.
ALERT: Two of the burglaries in May occurred on Sherwood Ave. in the daytime hours, and another occurred on 25 June on S. Ross. We must be vigilant about keeping an eye out and doing patrols to help deter and prevent this kind of criminal activity. Let the crooks know we?’re watching! If you see something or someone suspicious, do not hesitate to call the police.
