ALERT!!
NEW TRASH DAY WILL BE ON FRIDAY!!
The new owners of Deffenbaugh have notified the Association that our trash pickup day will change to Fridays (along with Recycling) beginning in April. The last Tuesday will be March 25th; the Friday pickup will begin on April 4th. Please note the following adjusted dates for both trash and recycling due to holidays:
Holiday Pickup Day
Memorial Day (Mon 5/26) Sat. 5/31
Independence Day (Fri 7/4) Sat. 7/5
Labor Day (Mon9/1) Sat. 9/6
Thanksgiving (Thurs 11/27) Sat. 11/28
Christmas (Thurs 12/25) Sat. 12/27
This new policy reflects the company's desire to reduce operating costs, noting that our immediate neighbors on the east and west of our boundaries already have collection on Fridays. Please remember, the City of Overland Park and the Homes Association require that trash and yard debris may not be placed outside the front of the house until 24 hours before pickup, in this case, no earlier than Thursday.
Annual Meeting
The Homes Association meets once a year to discuss issues in the neighborhood. This year's meeting will be on Saturday April 5th. There?’ll be juice, coffee and donuts from 8:30-9:00 and business until 10 in the fire-
place room at the First Assembly of God Church on 75th and Robinson.
The following persons have been nominated by the Board of Directors to be elected at the Annual Meeting to two-year terms on the Board of Directors:
Larry Cyre, Donna Klehm, Jack Knappen and Brian Hohnecker.
Nominations may be made from the floor, with the prior consent of nominee.
New This Year!
Milburn Fields will be awarding three cash prizes of $25.00 each during the annual meeting. One ticket per household will be given out as you arrive (sign in), and a drawing will take place at the end of the meeting. You must be present at the drawing to win.
Plans are underway for an ?“inside?” picnic this year. Do you have ideas or suggestions on how it can improve?
Reminder
Please don?’t forget to pay your Homes Association Dues/Fees. Trash Service for our immediate neighbors outside the Homes Association is $224 per year. We only pay $105 annually. ?– It?’s the best deal around!
