Overview of New Waste Collection

Beginning September 1, 2002, Oklahoma City's waste collection services changed! If you do not have a 2nd Big Blue, call this number, 405/495-BLUE or go online at the link below and order your 2nd Big Blue.

Weekly Collection: You get up to two Big Blue trash carts for the price of one! Set out as many additional trash bags as you need AFTER your two carts are full. Use your Big Blue carts for all your yard waste, too!! Recycling stays the same.

September 10, 2003
October 15, 2003
November 12, 2003
December 10, 2003
Up to 4 cubic yards of bulky garbage picked up once a month. Tree limbs included. More than four cubic yards allowed (extra cost will apply).

Annual Basis: Two free landfill drops (spring and fall).

BULKY WASTE SERVICE

Check your water bill each month for your exact date and time!

Be reminded that this service is limited to 4 cubic yards at one time. Additional amounts will result in a charge.

If this monthly pickup does not satisfy your needs, you do have two free landfill visits per year.

What You Can't DO!

The collection service will no longer take any regular garbage cans.

Extra garbage will only be picked up if you have filled your TWO Big Blue carts. You may then set out bags of trash.

Save larger items and tree limbs for the new monthly bulky pick up.

The following will not be picked up under any circumstances:
. construction debris
. hazardous materials
. car parts
. tires
. batteries
. rims
