Renovations have been completed on the Common Area Playground. After consulting with Millwood’s Landscaper concerning the long term maintenance, primarily weed control, we decided to redo the mulch in this area. Over the years the wood mulch has decomposed into fertile ground which has made weed control a never ending battle. Several truck loads of mulch have been removed, and an industrial strength weed barrier installed. We decided to replace the wood mulch with rice stone or pea gravel. The benefit of using this material is that is does not break down and require annual replacement; furthermore it provides an accepted protective surface to keep our neighborhood children safe. This renovation project will lower overall mulching cost in the future and enhance the appearance of our playground. Please take time to stop by and see the new look.
