The CERT Program training ended with a mock disaster drill and 18 neighbors completing all seven weeks of the course!
Make up classes for those who missed any sessions will begin on Thursday, October 16th at 6:30 p.m. at the Mobile County EMA office located on McGregor Avenue.
Councilman Stephen Nodine dropped by to thank neighbors for their participation and to cheer us on as the FIRST neighborhood association to be trained in the STATE of ALABAMA!
The Certified Emergency Response Technician program is offered free of charge by the Mobile County Emergency Management Agency in order to train neighborhood organizations to respond to natural disasters, hurricanes, or terrorist attacks in the event that emergency personnel are not readily available.
If you are interested in participating in the CERT training program, please contact Laura Breland at 251-344-0840 or join us at our October Meeting on Thursday, October 2nd at 6:30 p.m.!
