The Mt.Tabor Summer Concerts Series is ready to roll! We're excited that neighbors have again planned four free concerts, each of which is held in the Mt.Tabor Park Amphitheater at 6:30 p.m. on the four Tuesdays in July after the 4th. This year's concert lineup is
July 9 -Higher Ground, Bluegrass

A community night is set for July 23 when community groups will have tables and share information with concert goers. Additionally, Ya Hala Restaurant in Montavilla will be selling food and beverages, and there will also be canned beverages for sale. Remember, no dogs are allowed in the amphitheater, and parking is limited. This concert series is organized by a small group of Mt.Tabor park neighbors who want to make sure the music continues each summer. t is fully funded by donations from those who attend the concerts, but most especially by our major sponsors Providence Health System, Hawthorne Auto Clinic, Courtyard Plaza and Grand Central Bakery, along with sponsors Belmont Dairy, Sports Car Market, Pastaworks, Ya Hala Bakery, Mt.Tabor Neighborhood Assn., Montavilla Neighborhood Assn., and Realty Trust.

The new Portland Police Public Information Office website has been developed to provide visitors with easy to access Police Bureau news releases, CrimeStopper alerts, Police Bureau news, photographs, and other news related information. The site was developed jointly by the Portland Police Bureau 's Planning and Support Division and the Bureau of Information Technology, CGIS division. The CGIS division developed the programming for the site and the Bureau of Information Technology hosts the site. The new website will streamline Police Bureau communications to both the media and the general public by offering 24/7 access to Police Bureau news. The site will also offer users an option for subscribing to a newly developed e-mail notification system. What 's different about this system? Users can sign up for a 24/7 e-mail notification service. Subscribers will receive alerts whenever news is added or updated and can customize the type of content that they want to view or receive. Subscribing to alerts is easy and users can update their options at anytime. Visitors do not have to sign up for e-mail notifications to view news or press releases. The system allows the police Public Information Office to post information directly to the website without the assistance of technical staff, speeding access to the information.
