Community Walls. We are beginning to repair and repaint the stucco walls that are the Association?’s responsibility. There are instances were our painting contractor, Wallworks, may need access to your yard to do the job properly. Please cooperate with our contractor. Remember that the interior of walls enclosing your property, such as common walls between neighbors, is your responsibility. While it is here, you may wish to ask Wallworks about any problems you have with your wall(s).
Roadways. Soon we will have Ace Asphalt repairing and sealing our roads. There will be some inconvenience for us all since an application of sealer cannot be driven upon for 24 hours ?– meaning most of us will not be able to park in our garages for one evening. Thank you for your patience with this work.
Waste Collection. If you have items that are too large for your trash or recycle bins, you may call the City of Chandler at 480-782-3510 to schedule a separate pickup. (You may also call that number for information on disposing of hazardous wastes such as household cleaners, automotive fluids, paint and other chemicals.) You are allowed two free bulk trash pickups per year, but the number of bulk pickups of recyclables is not limited.
Also, you may haul large items or yard waste to the Chandler Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center at 955 East Queen Creek Road on Thursday through Monday from 8 to 4 p.m.
Another Reminder About Improvements. Both the Ocotillo Community Design Review Board and the Montefino Village Architectural Committee have jurisdiction over, and must approve, just about anything you wish to modify or add to the exterior of your home and lot. Be aware that contractors will rarely know, or ask about, whether our community has such rules. Save yourself headaches by checking your Ocotillo Design Guidelines & Community Rules booklet, or call the Ocotillo Community Association (480-704-2900) for information before you start an improvement project.
