Good News for MPCA Patrol

Over the past 6 years, Rep. Crowley has secured major federal funding to help Morris Park prevent crime, protect quality of life. These funds have been used to purchase patrol cars, secure radios for foot and vehicle patrols, and expand community service activities.

This March, Congressman Joseph Crowley (D-Queens,Bronx), Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx, Westchester), Councilman James Vacca (D-Bronx) and other local community leaders presented the Morris Park Citizens Patrol this week with an additional $15,000 in Federal anti-crime funds. The Federal funds have been awarded to the Morris Park Citizens Patrol to continue their on-the-ground efforts to combat graffiti and crime in the area.

I am proud to have secured more than $57,000 over the past 6 years to support crime prevention and anti-graffiti programs being conducted by the Morris Park Citizens Patrol. I thank Senator Klein, Assemblywoman Rivera, Councilman Vacca, and all the Bronx leaders who joined us in standing united against crime and vandalism in our community."

When we see graffiti we need to immediately remove it and send a message that we will not tolerate the destruction of our streets.
