Mesa to consider elimination of Senior Dial-a-Ride Service

The City of Mesa will hold a public meeting to discuss the possible elimination of its Senior Dial-a-Ride service. The meeting will be held on Monday, June 19 from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 57 E. First St. Comments will be collected and submitted to City Council for review.

On June 26, the Mesa City Council will consider whether to eliminate Senior Dial-a-Ride service, effective August 1, as part of the Fiscal Year 2006/07 Budget Plan. As alternatives, the City currently provides fixed route bus service and various options via the Ride Choice program. East Valley Dial-a-Ride service will continue to carry ADA eligible passengers.
