Englewood?’s Department of Parks and Recreation was recently
awarded recognition as the ?“1999 Class IV Fitness City?” by the American park and Recreation society of the National Recreation and Park Association. The Class IV division is for cities serving a population of 15,000 to 50,000. Only one city in the nation is honored per division.
Englewood was recognized for the variety of fitness programs
it offers its residents and employees. The award was presented to Englewood at the National Recreation and Parks Association conference in Nashville, Tennessee in October.
