Englewood's newly formed"Traffic Enforcement Team ." can now be seen around town on motorcycles. The Department of Safety Services recently received grant funding for a comprehensive traffic enforcement project aimed at reducing the number of accidents throughout Englewood.The Traffic Enforcement Team hit the streets in early December and will be focusing primarily on the community's high accident
locations.The Team is taking a comprehensive approach to reducing accidents by using a combination of enforcement, engineering, and education. In addition to having a visible presence in the community, the officers will be working with community members and other City departments to help make high-accident locations safer.One of the goals of the project is to reduce accident rates at these locations by ten percent over the next three years.
