Denver Digs Trees
(a Program of The Parks People)
Volunteers needed for tree distribution day.
Volunteers are needed to staff the distribution site; Sloan's Lake Boat house starting at 7:30 AM on April 15. Additional volunteers are needed to plant trees for people who are physically unable to plant their own trees. The trees will be sold on a first come, first serve basis starting at 9:30 AM to be planted in your yard . At 12:30 PM, unsold trees will be moved to Washington Park boat house until all are gone.

Sloan's Lake Park Update
Keith French, from Parks and Recreation was the guest speaker March 8th at the Sloan's Lake Citizen's Group meeting. New pathways, parking lots, wetlands, benches, lights, restroom, and more are the improvements that will begin in the park fall of 2000. East West Partners announced three for-sale projects planned along the extension of the 16th Street Mall in the "Riverfront Park" development: Park Place Lofts (7 stories, 71 units, construction to start this spring); Riverfront tower (13 stories, 58 units; summer/fall start); and Promenade (6 stories, 58 lofts). Also planned for the CPV is a $30 million luxury apartment project at 15th & Delgany Street by Amicus, and a 750 apartment project at 16th & Little Raven by Archstone Communities.
