City Park can thrive in spite of shrinking staff numbers and budget - but only with your help. This year we are encouraging the community to get involved in caring for the park.
Volunteers can choose from an assortment of tasks such as raking, mulching, weeding, picking up litter, restoring pathways, litter pick up, planting, and pruning. Park horticulturists and the landscape architect will be on hand for training, answering questions and coordinating your involvement. A few hours of your time this summer can make a huge difference. Time: 8am - 11am.
Where: Plaza on west side of Museum
Dates available: Friday June 6, Friday June 20, Saturday July 12, Friday July 18, Friday August 1.
What to bring: Trowels, weeding tools, gloves, hat, sunscreen, sturdy shoes, drinking water.
