If you haven’t been by Coop Park lately, give it a look. It’s not the same old place it used to be. Thanks to the hard work of Eric Niborg and Fran Blair lots has changed. Clearing, grading, grinding and hydromulching have given the park a new look. Lots has been done with grant money, City assistance and outside help—now it’s our turn.
Please mark your calendar and plan to come to the park on Saturday, July
22 between 8 am.m and 1 pm.
Bring your wheelbarrows, pitch forks, rakes and be ready to move shredded bark from the piles to a path around the park (yes, we will have a walking path!) and from the front to the volleyball court.
Or, bring your pruners, saws etc. to clean up a few of the branches and bushes that are damaged or need pruning.
Or, if you can?’t help with physical labor, how about dropping off water,
soda, juice or snacks for the workers? Or come just to cheer us on!
(this is the PARTY part of the ?“WORK PARTY?”)
Come for an hour or come for the morning. Let?’s get our park one step closer to looking and being a Park we can use for recreation.
See you next Saturday!!!
