It is with deep regret that the Board of Directors has decided to cease all operations effective December 31, 2003. With little or minimal support from residents, the Board elected to go on hiatus from January to June 2003 to provide ample time to study our future. The reasons for the demise of our Association are manied. Primary was poor participation by residents. In the past five years many accomplishments were achieved through the efforts of a few individuals. These accomplishments included our Annual Santa Claus tour, Holiday decoration Contest, Monthly cleanups, Anti-Drug Rallies, Sanitation tours, Animal Control Tours, Rat Rubout and community appearance improvement projects (Flower pots, trees & window boxes).
My sincere thanks go to the following individuals for their tireless efforts on the Association's behalf: William Wynecoop, Jerry Rowan, Georgene Holland, Doris Roberts, Carol Hartke, Tony & Lillian Ballard, Banner Neighborhoods, Pastor Jackie, Officer Joel Clements, and many others who devoted their time and energy to our neighborhood. A very special thank you goes to my staunchest supporter over the years. My wife, Michael. She was the glue and spark that drove the improvement efforts throughout the years. Thanks Hon for all you did.
We have approached Ms. Helen Vello of Ellwood Park to accept our borders into her organization. We encourage her and you to carry on our traditions.
Sincerely,
Wayne Kraft - Founder NHCA, Inc.
