NEW THIS YEAR- DROPPING OFF APPLIANCES is FREE!
YARD WASTE IS NO LONGER ALLOWED AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD SCRUB.
It?’s very easy to get use to living with the ?“stuff?” we accumulate over the years, but now is the perfect time to de-clutter and simplify your house and yard.
Take advantage of free waste removal, and bring your unwanted trash, tires, appliances, and other items to the 13th annual Scrub Day at the corner of 39th & Grand.
New this year - you can drop off appliances without a $10 fee imposed!
Yard waste is no longer allowed at the neighborhood SCRUB, although, you may take your yard waste to the Metro Compost Center, 1601 Harriett St. It will be open that day from 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
We are partnering with four other neighborhoods to run our site?’s Scrub Day again this year. Volunteers from Sherman Hill, Woodland Heights, NOG, Greenwood Historic, and Arbor Peaks neighborhoods will be on hand to help you unload your stuff, and give you information regarding the neighborhood.
Share the news with your neighbors, and mark your calendars now. This is a very popular event. The next opportunity to get rid of your ?“STUFF?” for free may be one year from now.
Volunteers are needed to work in 2 hour shifts, starting at 7 a.m. Contact Kimberly Hansen at 279-2684 to volunteer (traffic control, help unloading, policing dumpsters, sign up new members, etc). Also, contact Kimberly if you know of someone (elderly or home-bound) who needs help with a pickup truck for the event-this service is available on a first come, first serve basis.
