I am going to have a privacy fence built around my backyard. I would like some advice from anybody who has done this before. Specifically, I would like some recommendations for a company or individual who can bid on this for me, and any guideance concerning Codes and easements in our neighborhood. Also, do I need to get a survey done for this? Finally, are there any companies I should stay away from (e-mail me directly for this one). Thanks!

I've had several responses from neighbors and I wanted to say ''Thanks!'' We have decided to go with a company called Boarder Fence. They've done several jobs in the neighborhood and while they were not the cheapest, I felt very confident about their proposal. I'll put more here later after the job is done to let you know if they met my expectations.

My fence is not quite a year old but I still love it. I am overall pleased with Boarders and I do recommend them but be sure to get everthing you want in writing because the guy who runs it will forget what you've asked for if you have a verbal request. Also, plan on a lot of time for them to finish the fence. They are slow!
