CHRISTMAS CAROLING
We will have a night of caroling this Wednesday, December 21 at 6:30. We will meet in front of 46 Nicholson. We will have hot drinks and a heater to keep us warm. If you would like to bring cookies or some other treats please do so. We will distribute song sheets will be distributed. We will stroll the street spreading Christmas cheer singing classic carols. Afterward, we will reconvene at 46 for a holiday get together. We could use as many singing voices as possible. You don?’t have to have a good voice to join in.
LIGHTS DECORATED
We hope that you enjoy the holiday decorations on the street lights again this year. Most of the decorations were saved from last year. These decorations were paid for by your union dues and the money collected from the bottle collection.
FRIENDLY REMINDER
Please keep your sidewalks and steps clear of snow and ice. Our mailman (and Nicholson resident) really appreciates it!

YOUR BLOCK CLUB AT WORK

A concerned resident recently contacted the block club about a suspicious man going door-to-door claiming to be selling for Adelphia. The block club investigated, questioning the individual and checking his credentials. It turned out that he was legitimately selling cable service for Adelphia. He was impressed that the neighbors were looking out for each other. We followed up the next day with Adelphia who also confirmed that he was working for them. Always ask for ID when someone comes to your door and don?’t hesitate to contact the block club to investigate if anything seems suspicious.

Members of the block club have been attending Sam Hoyt?’s monthly breakfast meetings that have been very informative. Recent meetings included a Q & A with the new school superintendent and a meeting about the sex offender registry.
