Thursday, February 10, was the night to meet the mayoral candidates at the Hart Senior Center. The forum lasted an hour and a half with well over a hundred people in attendance. Ed Cox did a great job of introducing the candidates, presenting the questions, and keeping everything running smoothly. So smoothly in fact, that there was time for a "bonus question" to be asked. The forum was quite informative and gave people a chance to get to know the candidates and understand where they stood on issues such as traffic, social service agencies, the Sutter Landing Parkway, and working with neighborhood associations on specific issues.
Many thanks to all of the people that worked so hard to put the forum together: Judith Anshin, New Era Park Neighborhood Association; Ann Dilzer, Marshall School Neighborhood Association; Ed Cox, Boulevard Park Neighborhood Association; Charles Moore, McKinley Elvas Neighborhood Association; and Dick Ratliffe, East Sacramento Improvement Association.
