So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36
For the women in the program, the home has been a refuge to many who might have continued on a road toward further self-destruction or even death. These women have been given a chance and a choice to change their old lifestyle of drugs, alcohol, violence, emotional instability, etc. Many women at New Life have found joy and usefulness in their lives. They have become the women, wives, and mothers, God intended them to be. As they come into a mindful relationship with Jesus Christ, they find the power and strength to continue in their new way of life.and leave the old behind.
Mathew 11:28-30 says, “Come unto me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
“When I was fifteen, I started getting involved with alcohol and smoking. This later led to heavy drug use, such as L.S.D., downers, uppers, marijuana, etc.. I also got into prostitution. I worked for two pimps in several bars. Depressed, lost, and searching, I tried suicide three times. Unable to even do that right, I turned to even more drug use which led me down a road of deep depression.
My husband wanted a divorce and I no longer wanted to live. Finally, at the end of my rope, I invited Jesus into my life. He’s renewed my life and my family. Now I have found the true peace and joy that only Jesus can give.” PRAISE GOD! (testimony)
“My life had turned to gangs, violence, and drugs. I was running and didn’t even know why. I wanted to love myself, but I didn’t think I needed God in my life. God stepped in and set me free. I came to New Life Christian Home. I no longer have to run. I’ve found a new life and a real love in Jesus. You can too!” (resident testimony)
