I have two kids, ages 10 and 12. I'm trying to find something for them to do this summer - without spending $400/week. I saw in years past that NCC offered a playground camp at Weiss Park. It was 9-12 every day and only $25/week. It doesn't look like that is being offered this year. My kids aren't at the age that they need a ''babysitter'' but I would also like to make sure that they have activities other than TV and video games all day, all summer. Does anyone know of any similar programs in our area? Too bad we don't have some type of Rec Center that could have something like this - then maybe the kids in our neighborhood could do something constructive instead of destructive.
