NEW SNOW PLOW CONTRACT

This year, the Newtown Village Service Corporation board, voted in favor of giving a different snow removal company the opportunity to plow our streets. The new contract for snow removal includes, "curb to curb", service, which hopefully will mean much improved street clearing. It is imperative for the snow plows to do the best job they can, that as many of the cars as possible, be parked in owner's driveways or in the designated over-flow parking spaces. If there is no available parking in those areas, consider asking a neighbor who has extra space in their driveway, if you may temporarily park your vehicle there. This is especially important for the areas around the pond because much of the snow to be removed from Balmoral Way will be moved to the common area at the pond. For everyone's benefit, please do not shovel the snow from your driveway into the streets after they have been plowed.
