Northcliffe

Dear Residents:

May 31, 2004

We need you help to get a Neighborhood Watch started. Officer Kreutler of the Schertz Police Department tells us that the most effective Neighborhood Watch is one that is organized street by street and not organized community wide. So it's up to all of us to volunteer to get it going on our street. Please contract Dorothy Boyle or Linda Cohen today to volunteer. The HOA is sponsoring Neighborhood Watch which means that we will pay the costs associated with getting it started, such has signs that would be posted on each street, decals to be posted at everyone's home, etc. But we can't do it without you. So call today and get involved to make your street and our community a safer place.

One of the best examples of why we need a Neighborhood Watch occurred the week of May 10th when the 5 ton air conditioning unit was stolen from the Northcliffe Volunteer Fire Station and Hall. The Schertz Police told Chief Kronk that is common, especially in

neighborhoods where there is new construction. If it can happen there, it can happen to you.

Your Board is hard at work on sponsoring some upcoming events. This summer we will once again sponsor National Night Out. Look for more information in your July newsletter.

We are also talking with the City of Schertz to see what type of additional facilities we can have at our park. Some ideas that have come out are a basketball court and soccer field. If you have any ideas about this or any other questions please contact any Board member or me. Our phone numbers are listed in this newsletter. Or if you prefer, you may contact the Board or me by E-mail at DMcCune615@aol.com or ncliffe2000@yahoo.com.
